We were in ... what folks from crowded Jersey would call ... the boondocks and came across this Indian restaurant - Saffron. We were so happy with the service that I decided to make it into this blog - hard working folks with the right attitude to serve the best. Its a relatively new restaurant. The food was fantastic and the service was great.
Its difficult to find - it appears to be in Marshalls Creek, PA but the post office is for East Stroudsburg. Best to call the restaurant for directions - 570-223-2555. It's off route 209 near the flea market. Official address is 6 Liberty Square Plaza, East Stroudsburg, PA-18301
There is a lot of variety, although we tried only the vegetarian entres. Delicate taste - preserving the base taste of the vegetables and just a touch of spicy to enhance the taste. Prices are very reasonable.
Highly recommended.

sorry have to disagree. the restaurant is highly-pricey dog food of the poconos. the meat is absolutely spoiled during morning weekend buffet. anyway, they are out of business - a good thing.
